50 years of Gessler
Since 1975, we at Gessler have been working to safely guide people out of buildings in dangerous situations – in Germany and far beyond.
Over the past five decades, we have grown into a global company, which for us means one thing above all else: taking responsibility for our team, our customers and the people who rely on our products in an emergency.
We don't think in terms of months or years, we think in terms of generations. We make decisions with foresight, responsibility and the goal of one day handing this company over to the third generation.
Our success is based above all on the people at Gessler. It is not a matter of course that 14 different nationalities pursue the same goal and put their heart and soul into your safety every day. This cohesion has made us what we are today:
We are emergency lighting specialists, service providers and problem solvers. But above all, we are manufacturers of life-saving products. We are aware of this responsibility.
Over the past 50 years, more than 10 million emergency luminaires and safety luminaires have left our factory. We would like to say THANK YOU to all our customers who, like us, believe in Germany as a production location and contribute to keeping it that way by using ‘Made in Rodgau’ products.
As a two-time winner of the TOP 100 Innovator award in Germany, we are delighted to be recognised as an innovative company. These awards fill us with pride and are the result of the joint commitment and efforts of everyone at Gessler. Being nominated as Family Business of the Year 2025 by ‘EY Entrepreneur Of The Year’ was a special moment for us, one that reinforces our daily commitment.
For us, 50 years of Gessler is not a look back at what we have achieved, but a foundation for what is to come. With the same attitude that has accompanied us since 1975, we will continue to work in the future to be your reliable partner, to continuously develop our products and to make them sustainable – for future generations.
