What is Title 20
Title 20 is part of the Appliance Efficiency Regulation and California Code of
Regulations that requires

manufacturer certification of “self-contained” lighting control devices in California.

  r* k1 }: U9 _6 m$ \: Adesigned function without the requirement of being connected to additional devices.

• Self-contained Automatic Daylighting Controls

How to find a list of approved Title 20 products
' o6 M4 e6 b! Z, @' X  h) X/ g" PManufacturers self-certify products to meet the Title 20 requirements outlined on the California Energy
& T/ Y, ~8 a  @' C. ICommission (CEC) web site. The manufacturer also must provide a declaration that the information about the
products is accurate for the submitted products.
( v" T+ R: e4 U, w$ M" Y  b  YThe CEC reviews each submission and supports an online database to find the list of approved Title 20 products
/ Y; N, w( ]* N( ~1 B% O: N& v% eby manufacturer or technology type.
Approved self-contained Title 20 products can be found on the CEC Appliance Effieciency Database at
http://www.energy.ca.gov/appliances/database/
This location also contains a list of historical Title 20 databases for products that previously applied to Title 20.
